Shillong: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong successfully inaugurated its Business Management Certificate Program for Defense Officers on Friday, August 5, 2022 at the campus of IIM Shillong. In order to bridge the gap between knowledge and action and to manage the changing dynamics of the military and commercial sectors, the 6-month certificate program aims to give executives in-depth exposure from business management to analytical thinking. , strategic and entrepreneurial.

Following this, the ceremony was addressed by Chief Guest, Air Marshal Dilip Kumar Patnaik, AVSM, VM, Air Officer Commanding in Chief (AOC-in C), Eastern Air Command with his auspicious keynote.

Dr. Goyal stressed to all participants that they should approach the six-month course as students, regardless of their respective positions or titles and try to understand and learn from each other. He continued, “IIM Shillong offers a variety of methods by deliberately blending lectures, case studies, discussions, group projects, field trips, readings and discussions.”
