We are looking for an enthusiastic scholar to lead a highly respected program in rural business management. You will work with the Head of Department in managing the core academic team in planning, developing, preparing and delivering a high quality education offer under the RBM programme. Applicants should have a background in rural business management and entrepreneurship (research interests and specific skills may include, but are not limited to, food supply chain management, operations management, digitization, resilience and sustainability). In addition, knowledge of new developments in the current rural sector would be advantageous, while fostering strong links with local, national and international industry. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience delivering FE and/or HE, combined with a drive to positively impact today’s industry.
The successful candidate will also ideally have research experience in a related field. SRUC seeks to more closely align its research and teaching activities and it is hoped that the successful candidate will contribute to the world-class research conducted within SRUC in terms of grant income and publications. You will seize the opportunity to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and ambitions that will build on current strengths within the department and across the institution.
